Ten years on from Destiny’s Child’s split, Michelle Williams proves her longevity with the hotly anticipated release of her fourth solo offering ‘Journey To Freedom’.

Aptly titled, the set fuses the Urban sound of Williams’ DC days with the Gospel grounding of her first two albums. The end result, she says, is an Urban Inspirational LP that truly represents the artist she is today.

That Grape Juice caught up with the vocal powerhouse as she geared up for her recent Essence Festival set.
