Michelle Williams Set for Gala at Chicago Lyric Opera

Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller and Michelle Williams are the latest to join the lineup for the Chicago Voices gala, which will be held February 4, 2017, at the Chicago Lyric Opera’s Civic Opera House.

Lyric Opera creative consultant Renée Fleming and Lyric Unlimited have joined forces to present Chicago Voices, a multi-year initiative celebrating Chicago’s vibrant, diverse vocal music culture.

The gala, a signature event of Chicago Voices, will feature Fleming alongside an array of talent with deep ties to Chicago, paying tribute to the city’s rich musical traditions.

Performers also include Shemekia Copeland, The Handsome Family, Matthew Polenzani, and John Prine, with more to be announced. Five-time Jeff Award winner Doug Peck is the evening’s musical director.
